Partners in Ministry Day at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base

Pastor Kelli recently attended "Partners in Ministry Day" at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base along with approximately 75 other faith leaders from across Tucson to learn about the mission, vision and priorities of the base. Her invitation came from Rev. Mark Wagner, a chaplain stationed at Davis-Monthan who is a former UMC pastor from the Pacific Northwest Annual Conference. Serving Others at Casa Maria

We had a great soup outreach at Casa Maria Saturday morning. About 300 large cups of chicken vegetable pasta soup were served. Nothing like hot soup when the night has been cold and damp. Judy and I had help from Bob Dahlsgaard and his granddaughter, Joanscott.

Volunteers Needed for Community Outreach

Catalina UMC is showing up in the community! We are looking for volunteers to help staff Catalina UMC's booth at St. Philip’s Plaza Market and Cyclovia, whose route passes by our church this year.
We need 2-3 volunteers per shift:
  • St. Philip’s Plaza (Saturday, 3/29): 9:00am-12pm and 1:00pm-3:00pm
· Cyclovia (Sunday, 4/6): 9:00am-12pm and 1:00pm-3:00pm
At our booth, we’ll offer a children’s activity to engage families and promote upcoming Catalina events, while also listening and learning from the community. These outreach efforts are part of our mission to meet people where they are and discern how we can be a meaningful presence in Tucson. To sign up, contact Pastor Kelli at [email protected]. Thank you for being part of this journey!.
