PASTOR MIKE'S NEW BOOK DISCUSSION

Pastor Mike will be leading a book discussion on the book “The Sin of Certainty: Why God Desires Our Trust More Than Our ‘Correct’ Beliefs” by Peter Enns. Enns is a biblical scholar and host of the podcast “The Bible for Normal People.” In the Sin of Certainty, Enns discusses the biblical dynamics of faith/trust and belief/certainty. Enns “explains how Christians mistake “certainty” and “correct belief” for faith when what God really desires is trust and intimacy” (amazon.com). The book discussion will have two options: Sunday nights at 6pm by Zoom or Monday mornings at 10am in person at the church. The group will begin meeting Jan. 5 (Zoom) and 6th (in person). Please let Pastor Mike know if you are interested in joining us and which option you prefer (Sun. or Mon.) by emailing him at [email protected]. Information about the book can be found at: https://www.amazon.com/Sin-Certainty-Desires-Correct-Beliefs-ebook/dp/B00XHQA8P6/.
