Our Sanctuary is under remodel so we are meeting for worship in Fellowship Hall on Sundays at 10am. Please join us in the large building next to the Memorial Garden. There is plenty of parking in our east lot on Treat Ave. See you there!

Pastors Mike & Kelli and Laurie Campbell in SLC for "Hatchathon"

Pastor Mike, Pastor Kelli, and Laurie Campbell attended a "Hatchathon" event in Salt Lake City this week, which gathered leaders from western states to dream together about starting new forms of ministry. They'll give a report on their work in the coming weeks and if you're interested learning more about a new faith ministry within Catalina, Pastor Kelli would love to speak with you!

Choir Rehearsals Begin Sept 5

The Music department is preparing for the fall with the Sanctuary Choir and Festival Ringers starting Thursday rehearsals on September 5th. Seeker’s Adult Sunday School Class @ 8:45am-9:45am in Room H-230
A desire to enrich your understanding and faith is the only requirement. Join us for a variety of video-based lessons led by volunteer teachers from the class in Room H230 on Sundays.

We begin September 8. Rev Dr Kirk Reed will be our leader as we discuss Adam Hamilton's excellent book, Seeing Gray in a World of Back and White. Women’s Bible Study: Wednesdays @ 9:30am in Room H-230
After an eight-week break, we will resume on Sept. 18 for our next women’s Bible study: Sermon on the Mount by Jen Wilkin. We have enjoyed studies by Jen previously. Men’s Bible Study: Wednesdays @ 6:45am in Room E-23
Begins SEPT. 4 when we will begin to meet weekly on Wednesday mornings in Room E23 at 6:45 am. For those whose schedules allow, we plan on going to breakfast at 8:00 am following Bible Study.

Catalina Breakfast Forum: First Saturday of the month @ 9am in Fellowship Hall We kick-off the season on Sept. 7 with speaker Sarah Smallhouse. Topic: Prop 140-Make Elections Fair Act" - an overview and update to create an open Primary for all voters and candidates. Breakfast is $4 per person at the door. Casa Maria Soup Kitchen Cooks, Sept 21, 6am-2:30pm We make huge pots of soup to serve 200 living with homelessness and hunger. We need 3 more volunteers for this event. Contact [email protected]. Final even of the year is Nov 16.

Catalina Day School Open House: Thurs., Sept 26, 6pm You are invited to offer hospitality, which is simply providing refreshments (cookies, water, fruit punch/lemonade) and welcome to families! To make this a success, we are looking for volunteers to: Donate a total of 120 cookies, snacks, light beverages •1-3 people to help staff the refreshment table. This is a wonderful opportunity to show our support for the day school and to build connections with the staff, parents, and children who are a vital part of our community. Primavera Men's Shelter Cooks, Sept 28, 2-6pm We shop, cook and serve a 5 course meal to the men residing at the shelter. The menu is planned but we need 3-4 volunteers. Contact [email protected].
