Dear Congregation of Catalina United Methodist Church,
As chair of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee, I am excited for Catalina's future. I will be out of town when Pastor Kelli joins our staff, so I want to send my well wishes on behalf of the SPRC. We have thought together with Paul Nixon and developed a plan for the future. We have church leaders who look forward and we are balanced by leaders who manage our facility and funds with care. The Desert Southwest Cabinet thought carefully about their choice for our new Associate Pastor and they discerned that Pastor Kelli Knight will serve our current needs and inspire our vision. SPRC has met with Pastor Kelli and are completely delighted with her optimism, joy filled spirit, and her love of service. I know you'll find her energy contagious and she'll feel your welcome on July 7th.
As a church, we agree that God is calling us to minister to all people. Each of us is a unique being worthy of love. By bringing Pastor Kelli on staff, we can extend this love and attract people who we are not currently serving. That is our goal in asking for a pastor like her. Our future is not in recreating our past, but to move boldly toward a future vibrant church filled with love and kindness. Change may feel uncomfortable at first, but we can do it. With you I have experienced the powerful prayer that Catalina can offer the world. Thank you for your loving participation in the mission of Catalina's future.

YOUR CHURCH NEEDS YOU!
It takes a village to make worship happen on Sundays! We would like you to consider helping out just one Sunday a month or maybe every other month? Our Worship Team chair, Sherry Hoskinson needs volunteers to be greeters (a great way to meet people), collect attendance registrations and offerings (a great way to avoid meeting people), set-up the communion table once a month (easy-peasy), and to help set-up and tear-down the Coffee and Cookies kiosk (a great way to enjoy some extra cookies).
C'mon! Pitch in! Give Sherry a call at 520-307-2470 or email her at [email protected]. Tell her what you will or won't do and when you would like to do it!
