Chapel Connections: 2 Weeks of Warmth & Joy
We've had two pilot services of Chapel Connections on Sunday mornings at 10:00am, December 7 & 14. It's a blended style of worship that's similar in structure to a traditional worship service and familiar hymns, but relaxed and more intimate. Attendance has ranged from 20-40 and survey responses have been overwhelmingly positive. You've described the chapel space as peaceful and inviting, appreciated the acoustic music, and repeatedly lifted up the message as relatable, grounding, and joy-filled. Many said they

hope this style of service continues. Overall, it's been a great experience to try.
In last Sunday's sermon, I shared about one of the mentors in my life—my high school debate coach, a woman who helped shape my public voice and confidence. In an unexpected and joy-
filled surprise, she happened to be in the congregation that very morning! It was a beautiful reminder of how God weaves our stories together in ways we could never script.
We will offer our final Chapel Connections preview this Sunday, December 21 at 10:00am in the Chapel, and all are warmly invited.
Thank you for your ongoing support, curiosity, and shared enthusiasm throughout these past several months of worship pilots. This season has been a gift, and your feedback continues to guide our next steps with hope and creativity.

Santa, Cookies & Crafts: A Wonderful First-Year Success!
What a joyful evening at Catalina! Last Friday, December 12, more than 50 children—most from Catalina’s Day School—joined us with their parents for our first-ever Santa, Cookies & Crafts event. Kids made penguin ornaments, created Advent wreaths, decorated cookies, and, of course, took photos with Santa!
A huge congratulations and heartfelt thank-you to Paige Anderson, our Children’s Ministry Coordinator, for envisioning and leading this beautiful new tradition. Her creativity and care made the night a truly magical celebration for our families and community.
Deep gratitude as well to our incredible Children’s Ministry Team, who baked cookies, brought frosting and sprinkles, guided craft tables, helped kids assemble their creations, and handled setup and cleanup with joy. This event was amazing—and a success because of them!
