In Remembrance
Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) is a sacred time to remember and celebrate those who have gone before us. Families build ofrendas—altars of love—adorned with marigolds, photos, and favorite foods, welcoming the spirits of loved ones home once more.
|
It is a tender blending of memory and joy, where prayers become invitations, and grief is transformed into gratitude for lives that continue to shape our own.
|

All are encouraged to join us this Saturday, Nov 01, 4-5:30pm for a short prayer service. Bring your "offrendas" and a dessert to share.
|

Blenman School Holiday Request
|
Blenman Elementary School has asked Catalina United Methodist Church if we would provide some Christmas dinners for families over the school break. The grocery store gift cards will be $50.00 per family. If you would like to help, make a contribution to the Church and indicate it is for Blenman School. The families are always appreciative of the extra food support over the holidays.

Tucson Pride Festival & Parade Moved to February
|
Tucson Pride has postponed the festival and parade to February 21, 2026. Smaller Pride events are planned for November, and Catalina UMC will share ways we can participate as details are released. Pride planning will resume in January, and we look forward to supporting the celebration.
