Catalina Unplugged: First Preview Worship Series
This fall, our Outreach and Worship Team are exploring new worship styles, times, and spaces to help Catalina UMC expand its impact with a second worship service. Our first pilot is Catalina Unplugged, a relaxed, meditative worship experience designed to welcome new people—including young adults, single adults, and the spiritually curious who are seeking a non-traditional worship service and inclusive community.
All are welcome Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel on Sept. 14, 21, and 28 for one-hour services centered on music, scripture, reflection, and Holy Communion. These are “beta” services—your presence and feedback are encouraged as we explore new ways to worship and connect.
During this preview season (Sept.–Dec.), Catalina’s 10:00 a.m. service will continue to be led with faith and care by Pastor Mike. Mariana Mevans-Vidal (Director of Music and Organist/Pianist), and Paige Anderson (Children & Family Ministries Coordinator) will continue to be part of the 10:00am worship service and lend their leadership to support the development of the second worship service. Pastor Kelli's focus will be on the second worship service. Please keep both services in your prayers, invite friends, and join us in this exciting new chapter at Catalina!

Why invite someone to church?
Because one invitation can open the door to something new: ✨ A chance to rest. ✨ A word of encouragement. ✨ A community that feels like home.
Sometimes it all begins with a simple ask: “Come sit with me this Sunday?”
