Our Good Friday Service Will Be a Tenebrae Service. What is a Tenebrae Service?
"Tenebrae" is the Latin word meaning "darkness." The service of Tenebrae as practiced in most Protestant Churches is an adaptation of medieval Roman Catholic practices for each of the days of Holy Week dating back to the ninth century. For Protestants, this single service is typically held at night on Maundy Thursday or Good Friday. To read more, Click Here.

Book Cases Needed!
There are a large number of bound Catalina historical books and bulletins that are in need of a book case for safe storage in the church attic which now houses our historical records. We anticipate receiving other documents from former Senior Pastor Stan Brown which will also require a book case.
|
If you have a book case or two that you no longer need, please contact Carol West at 520-298-2447 or ccw4tucson@comcast. net

By popular request, we will CONTINUE our after-church cookie time throughout the year. Here is the alphabet list to bring cookies if you desire to participate. This is voluntary; you don't have to bring cookies each time your last name comes up! If it’s too hot we’ll gather in the narthex. Thanks to the Ad Board and the Finance Committee, we now have cookie time supplies as a budget item for 2024! Thanks to all who have donated cookies and dollars in 2023! See you at cookie time in 2024! Keep donating those cookies!!! They are delicious! For questions contact [email protected] or 520-909-4404
